Date: 1-June-2024 Time: Evening (after 8pm) Total (before tip): $15.14 Payment type: cash Server: Take out Grade: A+ We come here periodically for some sweets and today we were in a mood for some sweets. This joint is always buzzing! We have placed our order which was a piece of Triple Chocolate Cake and a mango refresher drink. It took a minute to get our order but they were busy! We got home and had our treats! The refresher was surprisingly tasty! I didn't expect it to be so good! The ingredients played really well with each other! The chocolate cake was next and it was supremely delicious! I don't know how they make it, but it's by far the best chocolate cake I have ever had! A+! Definitely will be back!

Wonderfully aromatic when you enter! Delicious teas and coffees, I had the Yemeni Tea and Basboasaa. The tea was sweet and fragrant without sugar. The basoasaa was fresh, and slightly spicy. My friend and I also purchasers the honeycomb bread. Amazing selection of a sweet honey roll with soft cheese. Highly recommend this gem.

OMG! What an amazing coffee shop. I have not had coffee this delicious since I was in Dubai in March. The Turkish coffee and pastries were delicious. As soon as we walked into Qahwah, Mohammed greeted us warmly and asked us if we had any questions. We settled on a small pot of Turkish coffee & two different pastries, Sabaya & Khallat Alnahl (our favorite.) We have returned with several friends & are now discussing how we can bring this coffee shop back to our town (35 minutes away.) Starbucks & DD, better watch out

Nice vibrant addition to the Lombard community! Plus A+ Adeni Chai Khaliat Alnahl, and Mushroom Turnovers. Good luck trying to get seat after 8pm any day of the week (yes even a random Tuesday in March because HOLY MOLY does it get packed). My recommendation if you are looking for an evening spot to enjoy chai or coffee - download the Qahwah House App and order ahead. That way, you can have your beverage of choice be ready to pick up without having to wait in insanely long lines. in the evening. Nonetheless, it's a great environment and I look forward to spending the upcoming summer at the backyard patio with a steaming cup of Qahwah House Adeni chai

This place is an absolute gem and they need to open a branch in Chicago downtown. I was first introduced to this place when a friend gifted me their powdered tea and I was in awe of them since then! We walked into this place late in the night and it was still very lively with a lot of people enjoying coffee, tea and bakery items. They are usually open until 1-ish AM on weekdays and weekends. We ordered an Adeni Chai which is a Yemenite tea and it was so good. It had very rich flavors of cardamom, and nutmeg. It's served in a pot which can be easily shareable between 4 people. We also tried the Chocolate pistachio tart along with our tea and it was perfect delectable late night desert. They have a lot of desert options and coffees and I'm definitely coming back again to try more!

Qahwah House is a Yemenite cafe that is exploding with flavorful coffee! Walking in, there is a display that allows you to watch how they make their coffee which is really cool. There is this huge wooden mural that describes the history of coffee. I came in on a Saturday afternoon and was surprised to see how busy it was. It is a welcoming space with many people working or studying. We ordered the Mofawar Coffee, Yemeni Iced latte ($7), Adeni Chai ($5.50), Pistachio Cake ($7), and Caramel Chocolate IBB Cake ($7). All of the drinks were super tasty with all the spices. I loved my latte, it was just the perfect amount of spice. The chai was one of the best I've tried since I've been to London. The Mofawar coffee was good, just a tad less cream than I would have liked. The cakes were all delicious as well! The pistachio cake was dipped in white chocolate which really made the flavors meld together well. It was my favorite among the two. Service was good, prices were fair and affordable. I definitely think they are so popular that they may need a bigger space! It was a bit difficult to get around as all of the seating made it a bit cramped. They close late in the evening so it will definitely be one of our go-to late night coffee runs! I will definitely come back soon. Please support Qahwah House and try some tasty Yemenite coffee!

Consistently busy is an understatement for this coffee shop. I would recommend viewing their menu ahead of time before you visit their location or grab one of their menus at the counter before you order. As you enter their cafe there is an industrial coffee machine surrounded by a bar for guests to and admire the machine. Along the back wall there is a large mural of pictures guests can enjoy viewing. The display layout of the counter is spectacular. We ordered two pastries and two coffees. Both included ginger which were pretty strong. We love ginger, but will was a little intense for us. Overall the food, coffee, and people were great. We will be back to try other items.

I've been here a few times. It can be confusing because you have people lining up on both sides of the register. You would line up on the left. I forgot what his name was. The gentleman at the register was very helpful, knowledgeable, and pleasant. I came on Thursday night around 6:30 pm. If you come after 7 pm, then it can be hard to find a seat. I guess this is the place to be everyday at night. Prices were okay since this isn't a huge chain. They do have a lot of seating but they can be filled up with large families. I've tried Yemeni Tea, Adeni Chai, khaliat alnahl, and sabaya. I was actually surprised to see how busy it was, not packed but busy. The Yemeni Tea was delectable. I could taste the cinnamon along with the other spices. It's a very good tea on a cold day. The Adeni Chai was smooth, had a good amount of nutmeg, and was refreshing. The khaliat alnahl has cheese inside and comes with honey drizzled on top. The sabaya is buttery and flaky. Both of these famous pastries are worth getting. They're best to eat when fresh, keep that in mind when taking either of them home. I would give this place a 5 but people were lining up on both sides of the register. In addition, it seemed like when one guy would order. Along came 10 more people that were also part of his order? These guys came out of nowhere, like they were all hiding under the table.

Ambience: great atmosphere in the space. Very cozy and lots of people enjoying their food/drinks Service: you order at the counter and wait for your number to be called out. everyone seems to be nice and approachable. Food: we ordered this popular Yemeni pastry and it was delicious. I personally liked it without the honey as it doesn't need it. We ordered an adeni chai and Rada'ey. They're both very good. I only wish I can customize my drink (adeni chai) but it's already prepared ahead of time (not made to order).
